For the last few years since the CV19 scamdemic undocumented immigration into Ireland has surged. No one is allowed discuss it because they do not want any rational debate about it. If you do you are labelled an extremist. However this out of control immigration is fully facilitated by the Irish government and the EU and the shady figure behind the Neo Con movement pushing for endless war, wokeism and globalist agenda.

The Trash Culture Revue, November 4th - 6th

category cork | arts and media | press release author Thursday October 28, 2010 16:48author by moray bresnihan - mutantspace.ie arts resourceauthor email admin at mutantspace dot ie Report this post to the editors

Culture Revue is full of trash

The Trash Culture Revue is a DIY festival in Cork that is organised by online gift economy, mutantspace.ie. We held our first festival in June and proved that it is possible to run a festival with absolutely no money relying instead on mutual co-operation, active participation and the giving and sharing of skills and resources. This November’s revue will prove to be no different

The Revue kicks off on November 4th in The Roundy with The Mutant Cabaret from 9pm which will become home to a variety of performers for the night including musicians, performance poets, magicians, theatre and unusual collaborative slams. This will mark the launch of the Mutant Cabaret as a monthly event hosted by performance poet and MC Stephen James Smith.

November 5th sees an assortment of arts performances taking place across Cork City starting with ‘Verbum’ by Eat My Noise at 6pm in The Savoy Theatre. “Verbum” is an electro acoustic piece composed for choir and electronics. Based on the drawing by M.C Escher, the piece provides a three dimensional audio realisation of two dimensional art. At 7.45pm, the Savoy will be turned into a cinema for the screening of The 4th Mutant Short Film Competition.

The theatrical production for the Revue will be This Is My Constitution by Ungovernable Bodies, a unique piece drawing on previously unused archived letters that were sent to Eamon De Valera in 1937. The show will run for two nights, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th, at 8pm upstairs in Meades Wine Bar on Oliver Plunkett St. After the show in Meades Wine Bar songwriters Pearse McLoughlin and Fia Rua will be playing an intimate fireside set. Alternatively you can stroll down to The Crane Lane to see Miss Paula Flynn with Chunky Planet and punk poet Wasps vs Humans or hit The Roundy to catch our Trash Culture Jazz band improv a soundtrack to ‘The Phantom Carriage’, a landmark Swedish silent film made in 1921.

Music and poetry will fill various pockets of Cork City on Saturday 6th November. Catching The Moon With Chocolate, Coffee & Poetry will take place at lunchtime at O’Conaills Chocolate Shop on French Church Street. Four writers; Kathy D’Arcy, Jane Clarke, Shirley McClure and Tina Pisco will present a poetry performance which flows between their unique voices, each addressing the vibrant themes of love and sex, men and women, nature and home, body and soul. Then it’s a stroll down to The ESB Substation at 4pm for the launch of Bill Coleman’s EP ‘You Can’t Buy Back Your Life’. Later in the evening there will be a screening of Inter/views, a short film by Hilary Williams, winner of a special jury award at our film shorts competition in June. From 10pm you get to choose between the punky, reggae, hip-hop sounds of Lady Grew and the crazy dance moves of her Fly Girls at the Roundy or the sultry sounds of Argentinean Tango with Tango Avenue at Meades Wine Bar.

The plan for the Revue is to tour it around Ireland from February 2011 - May 2011. We’re going to be bringing the Revue to the performers’ hometowns, picking up acts along the way and bringing them back to Cork for May before we set off again! So if you’re interested in getting involved in any aspect of what we’re playing at get in touch.
