Jump To Comment: 1Ms Sinclair got off fairly light with a five hundred euro fine . A lot of the animal rights crowd would probably think that was paltry given the suffering she caused to her fellow beings .But I feel sorry for her in a way .It's sad how people who start out with the best of intentions often end up achieving the exact opposite of what they set out to do . Dewy-eyed social workers who end up blaming the poor for being poor , left politicians turning into law 'n'order merchants , libertarians who end up as censors , over- devout Christians who come to justify places like Guantanamo , fiery trade unionists ending up on the board of directors , Irish republicans turning into crown ministers . You even get some cops ,believe it or not , who start out really believing that they're doing some good! It never seems to go in the other direction for some reason .
