Dr. Tom Potokar, a plastic surgeon specializing in burn injuries, has worked in Gaza 16 times but said this mission had revealed a level of destruction far greater than his last visit in 2023,

For the last few years since the CV19 scamdemic undocumented immigration into Ireland has surged. No one is allowed discuss it because they do not want any rational debate about it. If you do you are labelled an extremist. However this out of control immigration is fully facilitated by the Irish government and the EU and the shady figure behind the Neo Con movement pushing for endless war, wokeism and globalist agenda.

éirígí says No To Imperialism

category dublin | anti-war / imperialism | press release author Sunday September 17, 2006 17:27author by Cormac Ryan PRO éirígí - éirígí Report this post to the editors

Join in the International Day of Action on September 23rd to voice your opposition to Imperialist aggression.
A Simple Message
A Simple Message

éirígí supports the International Day of Action, organised to take place on September 23rd, and opposes the acts of aggression carried out by the United States and their surrogates against peoples in the Middle East and across the globe. The march due to take place in Dublin, assembling at the Garden of Remembrance at 1pm, is an opportunity for people from across Ireland to express their disgust at the actions perpetrated by those who perversely claim to be fighting against terror and in the name of freedom.

The current phase of war-mongering by the imperial powers is no different to that which took place in the 19th and 20th centuries. The motivating factors of greed and power remain the same. Connolly’s assertion that “the influence which impels towards war today is the influence of capitalism” is as relevant now as it was when he wrote ‘The Roots of Modern War’ in 1898. Whilst the U.S., British and Israeli armies commit war crimes and wreak havoc across Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Lebanon vast fortunes are being amassed by those who supply the weapons and munitions that are causing such untold human suffering. While the innocent civilians of the region are dying the shareholders of the military-industrial complex grow ever richer.

Unfortunately, the U.S. and Britain have not acted alone. The Dublin government have willingly facilitated this process of exploitation by allowing the use of Shannon Airport for the transport of U.S. troops to the Middle East and the stop-over of planes carrying prisoners to torture centres such as Guantanamo Bay.

Speaking on the issue of Shannon Airport, éirígí spokesperson Daithí Mac An Mhaistír stated that “this is one area where the people of Ireland can make a difference. By demanding an end to the use of Shannon by U.S. forces, by making this an election issue, by raising the issue of Shannon with candidates when they are looking for votes, the people of Ireland can make a real difference to events in the Middle East.”

éirígí encourages people from all over Ireland to contribute to the campaign against imperialism both by attending the demonstration in Dublin on September 23rd, and by highlighting the issue between now and next years General Election.

I think John misses the point that an Irish exploiter is just as bad as an english exploiter (or any nationality for that matter) it's not just about establishing a government in Ireland, but rather the form that Government takes:

"If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, through her landlords, through her financiers, through the whole array of commercial and individualist institutions she has planted in this country and watered with the tears of our mothers and the blood of our martyrs." - James Connolly.

( and through her spineless gombeen puppets!! )

John all Politicians are corrupt to some extent and motivated by self interest whether they be Irish, British or American.

"The Dublin Government" I think they mean the Irish Government, the democratically electected government of the The Repulic of Ireland, Eire, or Ireland. I'd rather have an Irish politician than a politician who sits in Westminister.

Somehow i dont think there's any prospect of Eirigi going into coalition with Fianna Fail now do you? They might have to actually contest elections to do that. Maybe you have info that they intend to. Might be a question worth asking Sinn Fein though. What do you think the chances of Sinn Fein and Fianna Fail doing a deal after the next election. They appear from the "think in" at Howth last week unwilling to rule out that prospect.

It makes a nice change....more likely it makes no difference. IWhen have republicans ever had a good word for ex members. Usually try to shoot them or bad mouth them. Of more importance,if they are former members, it says a lot about their ability that SF are unconcerned about their leaving.
Remember, all people are asking Eirigi to do is outline some of its policies in relation to issues such as the GFA, Assembly participation, Coalition with FF etc..,. When we get these answers we can all then decide who is real and who is not (excuse the pun),

Having followed the thread refered to above (Pat Regan etc) and being more then a little curious about it I spoke to three different people in SF Ath Cliath about eirigi over the weekend. While most (if not all) members of eirigi are former Shinners, they are just that - former members - no doubt about it, although unusually for Republicans there's a fair bit of goodwill between all concerned -differences were political and not personal apparently! Makes a nice change.

Snail,

You really will have to catch up. This issue has been discussed on another thread - http://www.indymedia.ie/article/78194#comments

Pat Regan tried to make the same links but failed to back it up. Eirigi and Sinn Fein appear to be seperate entities.

I'm confused. Is Eirigi a Shinner thing? Ogre SF under another name?

Arms company, Raytheon, with financial backing from the Irish and British government, has set up a research arm at Galway university. Its CEO is a prominent member of Republcian Sinn Fein. Doing research for an arms manufacturer is complicity in imperialist murder. Republican Sinn Fein is totally hypocritical.
