The Online Safety Act is a Censor?s Charter Wed Jul 30, 2025 13:00 | Andrew Doyle
We were assured by Conservative and Labour politicians that the Online Safety Act was designed to protect children. In the last few days, its real, more sinister purpose has become, writes Andrew Doyle.

Trump Was Right to Skewer Starmer Over Britain?s ?Windmills Scam? Wed Jul 30, 2025 07:00 | Ben Pile
Trump was right to skewer Starmer over Britain's "windmills scam" when he met him in Scotland this week, says Ben Pile. It was a cringefest worthy of The Office, but Starmer can't afford to ignore the President?s warning.

Well done to the West Tyrone Ógra Shinn Féin's Nuála Gormley who will be jumping out of a plane at 13,000ft to prevent suicide prevention.
Can't believe a miserly £500 is all that has been raised for suicide prevention, but it speaks volumes, (I raise money for animal rights and I got 2,000) I would have thought your Chieftain (won't say Taoiseach as Mr. Adams has a big enough head already) would have given ye some petty cash from Sinn Féin's Treasure Chest for such a worthy cause.
By the way, Mary Harney doesn't give a fuck about suicide prevention or mental health patients, she's from Ballinasloe originally and the mental hospital there St. Brigid's (big house hidden far far away) is the worst in the country described as such by mental health inspectors and she couldn't give a fuck about it. Waste of your fuckin time sending letters to policitians North or South, East or West of Ireland they have deliberately turned their backs on mental illness and suicide prevention in this country for 85 years.
Good luck with jumping out of the plane, don't forget your parachute.
the new Níamh Louise Foundation is online for those needing help or information dealing with suicide

I wish the parachute jumpers well, and wonder if the timing has anything to do with World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th.
Here's some other Irish activities:
Ireland: Johnstown Therapy Centre, Dublin
Our Centre will be holding an open day on Sunday 10th Sept exhibiting information about suicide. We will also have psychotherapists/counsellors available throughout the day to talk to people who have been affected by suicide.
Ireland: The 3Ts (Turn the Tide of Suicide)
In Dublin, The 3Ts will host a Candlelight Vigil in the city centre to commemorate the many lives that have been lost in Ireland through Suicide both this year and in the past. The Vigil is open to all who have lost loved ones or who have been touched in some way by suicide. Key speakers will join the Vigil to mark the day with music, song, and a minutes silence. Venue: Bank of Ireland (Forecourt), College Green, Dublin 2 Time: 9.00pm - 10.00pm. email: 3ts@alburn.com
