The final outcome of the Stormont assembly election indicates a deadlock as far as the Agreement is concerned. Republican Sinn Féin said at the outset five-and-a-half years ago that the Agreement was not a settlement and would not work in the medium to long-term.

Because it was debarred from the election by the political test oath required of candidates for nomination, Republican Sinn Féin called for either a boycott of the polls or a spoiling of votes.

We would not (a) disown publicly the organisations of the Republican Movement and (b) deny the right of the Irish people to resist English rule in Ireland and were therefore excluded from what was not a free and fair election.

For our part we are satisfied that 170,000 voters did not register and at that the turnout was significantly down throughout the Six Counties while the number of spoiled votes has not been revealed.

Tens of thousands of leaflets were distributed by our members and hundreds of posters displayed as well as slogans painted. An Agreement which is based on a sectarian headcount and is an artificially contrived method to govern an artificial statelet cannot survive in the long run.

A nine-county Ulster within a four-province federation, with optimum devolution within the provinces, is the only way forward. It will provide power and decision-making to all communities and sections of the people of Ireland.

Yet again the artificial means to copper-fasten English rule here has met with failure. It is time to consider other alternatives.

So one of these republican splinter groups is gloating about political stalemate in Norn Iron?

If they're lucky, you never know, we might go back to the old days of bagstuff in London and blowing up a peaceful ceremony in Enniskillen.

Well, at least they had Omagh to crow about.

I wish I could drag these benighted creatures into the 21st century but I know they're jut far too stupid to waste time on.

Just remember, you Shinner scumbags, there's now a global war on Terror. Bush and Blair will stamp on any "axa tourism" happening on these islands.

They will have the wholehearted support of the 94.6% of people in the Republic of Ireland who voted for an end to the disgusting murders committed in the name of outmoded ideas.

Well I'm sorry to burst your bubble but I know for a fact that Anarchists have for years been claiming that THEY win when people dont vote.

RSF would need to be careful about the claims they are making as these lads and lassies within the anarchist movements are prone to Direct Action.

yeah new allternatives to defeat british rule. how about we refuse to recognise leinster hse talk about organiseing a military capaign with little or no support don't engage with anyone but ourselfs and if thats not the way to victory othen we could do the same as was done for the last 80yrs.

Perhaps RSF could strike a strategic alliance with the DUP as they now share two major issues in common

- hatred of Sinn Féin
- hatred of the GFA
