"Friends of Imperialism" Bash in Paris

RTE’s website has two interesting news reports today:
1) Eamon Gilmore is off to a socalled “Friends of Syria” meeting in Paris, the aim of which is to support the overthrow of the Assad regime. It is all reminiscent of the moves to topple Ghadaffi in Libya a year ago.
2) The other news report informs us of the widespread human rights abuses now being carried out in “free” Libya. Up until now the western media has done its utmost to hide the chaos and bloodshed that has occurred since the overthrow of Ghadaffi, but eventually some of the truth had to come out.

GAAW sheds no tears for the fall of Ghadaffi’s regime, but as we predicted the consequences would not lead to a democratic Libya and indeed this was never the aim of the imperialists – the US, French and British governments. Their only purpose was to counteract the democratic goals of the Arab Spring: to take full control of that country’s vast natural resources and further destabilise the region. Innocent civilians was the ploy used to invade Libya and this led to over 30,000 unnecessary deaths and the bloody catastrophe that has unfolded since. The African Union had proposed a peace deal that could have avoided this carnage, but the “rebels” and their French, British and US backers had other plans.
The socalled “Friends of Syria” including imperialism’s puppet Gilmore have no interest in the flourishing of democracy in that country either. The “Syrian Free Army” is being financed by the brutal feudal regimes of Saudi Arabia and Quatar, backed of course by the USA. Democracy is the last thing on the minds of these people. The road to the Iranian capital, Tehran, is via Damascus. That is the name of the Syrian game being played out in Paris.
That Gilmore is colluding in this façade is no surprise. We only have to look at how since going into government he has fully supported the use of Shannon airport as a US military hub for the illegal and deadly “war on terror”.
