After such dramatic change in Ellatha (I hate the word "Greece"), it would be hard to compare him and his son. Of course, the EU are whats wrong with our country, and I believe that by far the best thing to do is leave it. They wont let us. Under those circumstances, its hard to blame internal politicians for anything more than the usual hellenic calamities! Perhaps I am being too simplistic, but if you are against the EU, you are for Papandreou and PASOK. I would rather have any genuine PASOK leader in power (whatever power we have) than Nea Thimokratia. Its all been centralized to the EU leadership anyway, so they are to blame.
